February was a good month!
The City of Night show turned out pretty awesome. I saw a lot of art and found new people to be inspired by. It was also interesting to see in-person reactions to my photography. I’m hoping I can do a few more events like this in the future. My phone battery died on me, so I didn’t have a chance to take many pictures while I was there but here’s one that was taken post-setup by the event organizer.
Last month, I did my second art challenge of the year and I thought I’d share some behind the scenes photos!
Dinosaur Flower Skull – Ink and watercolor pencil on paper.
We were given a theme of skull and allowed to do anything as long as there was a skull somehow included in the piece. I was really happy working on this piece because it forced me to draw something I probably wouldn’t have ordinarily thought to draw and I was also able to source most of my reference materials from my own photography.
