If you’ve ever read the book “If You Give A Mouse A Cookie” by Laura Numeroff, it’s a pretty good analogy for what happened when I decided to refresh my portfolio site with some of the stuff I’ve done in the past couple of years. I wanted to add some new things and then I realized I needed to change everything! One week later, after spending every spare moment with my laptop, voila!
I’m also attempting to start my blog back up again with monthly updates at the very least. It’d be nice if I could work weekly updates in, but I’ll try not to be overly ambitious. They may not be long posts, but I’ll try to keep updates of projects I’m currently working on.
Last month I submitted my articles of organization for my own LLC, Britkamo Creative and I finally launched my Etsy Store. I’m currently only selling photography prints, but I’d like to expand later on with maybe handmade journals, stationary and original artwork. All the artsy things that I like to do but that I feel guilty spending too much time on–I gave myself an official and legitimate reason to do them anyway. I’m still figuring out a lot of things but it’s been a fun and exciting process that really isn’t as hard and complicated as I thought it would be.
