Amerivespa!<\/p><\/div>\n

Another long awaited update!\u00a0This past month I was occupied with preparing work for my first vendor booth ever at one of the biggest international scooter rallies in America, Amerivespa. It was a little nerve-racking\u00a0but also fun and I learned a lot about the logistics of operating a booth.\u00a0I brought with me a lot of photography prints and handmade greeting cards, and unveiled a new t-shirt<\/a> and tote bag<\/a> design.<\/p>\n

Amerivespa is an international scooter rally that typically draws in upwards of 500 scooterists to celebrate and enjoy the scooterist lifestyle. The rally is organized by\u00a0Vespa Club of America<\/strong>\u00a0usually in conjunction with local scooter clubs and moves from city to city throughout the United States every year.\u00a0This year, Amerivespa was held in the soulful\u00a0city of Memphis, Tennessee.<\/p>\n

It was a whirlwind of scooters, fun, music with touches of\u00a0unbearable heat, humidity and sleep deprivation.\u00a0An all around good time! While I was not operating my booth, a few\u00a0of the things I got to do included a\u00a0tour of Graceland and Forest Hill Cemetery (where Elvis was first laid to rest) and Elmwood Cemetery.<\/p>\n

We\u00a0also visited Beale Street for bike night. Beale Street is generally blocked off to all but pedestrian traffic each night, but on Wednesdays, motorcycles are allowed through to park along the street.\u00a0During Amerivespa, there was\u00a0an extra bike night on\u00a0Thursday, Scoots on Beale. A\u00a0few motorcycles snuck in but it was pretty amazing to see all the different scooters gathered along the road. There were modern, vintage and crazy customizations everywhere.<\/p>\n
